About the Project
An observatory documenting violations of rights and freedoms in Tunisia, by Intersection Association for Rights and Freedoms.
This interactive digital map is developed by Intersection Association for Rights and Freedoms to visualize human rights violations documented by the association across different regions in Tunisia.
The map visualizes the geographic distribution of violations to identify areas of concern, while providing public access to verified information, while also providing a secure space to report human rights violations, which are reviewed and documented by the association in line with ethical, confidentiality, and verification standards.
The platform also provides a dedicated feature for reporting human rights violations, allowing users to submit information directly, which is then reviewed and documented by the association in accordance with confidentiality principles and verification guidelines.
Documentation method
Every case goes through three stages before it is published in the observatory.
Monitoring
We gather information from victims, their families and lawyers, from the reports we receive, and by following the news and official statements.
Verification
We verify the facts with more than one source and record the date, place, type of violation and victim profile.
Publication and analysis
We publish the classified case on the map; the data feeds our analytical reports and advocacy.
