A decision dismissing the case against him (&#8220;non-lieu&#8221;) had been issued months earlier, yet he was not released and his detention continued. In January 2025, the victim&#8217;s mother posted a live video documenting her son&#8217;s suffering in detention, stating that he remained shackled in prison while suffering a severe deterioration in his health, until he fell into a coma.
