He was arrested on February 18, 2025, in connection with a criminal case, which prevented him from continuing his studies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\" data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"705\">Following this, his mother submitted a request to enable him to pursue his education from \u062f\u0627\u062e\u0644 the correctional facility; however, the request was rejected. The family also received a letter from the school principal dated May 9, 2025, informing them that he had been removed from the student registry. In her efforts to secure his right to education, his mother submitted a petition to the Presidency of the Republic on October 8, 2025, but received no meaningful response.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\" data-start=\"707\" data-end=\"1212\">On February 13, 2026, Saif Zaied was released after appearing before the court. Subsequently, his mother initiated procedures to re-enroll him in the school. She submitted a written request to the school principal, followed by petitions to the Regional Commissioner for Education in Manouba and to the Minister of Education on February 10, 2026.
