He was held in custody at Al-Bouhair police station in Tunis, where he was beaten and violently assaulted by the police. Our witness confirmed to us the appearance of signs of beatings and bruises on Jihad\u2019s face, along with multiple scratches on various parts of his body.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Mohammed Jihad was arrested due to a complaint filed against him, accusing him of insulting a public employee under Article 125 of the Penal Code on the grounds of defending himself during the police\u2019s assault on protesters and their attempt to prevent them from them from gathering. This led to keeping Jihad in custody for a period of 12 days from January 14, 2022, until January 25, 2022.
